Ceramics from Mérida
For this collection, we wanted to pay tribute to clay, a material shaped by human hands since the earliest civilizations into objects for daily life, and we couldn’t imagine a better setting than Mérida, Spain’s Roman city and an open air archaeological archive, to bring that idea to life in collaboration with the local Terracota Mérida workshop.
Reimagined for Today
We preserved Mérida’s ancient hand-building tradition, shaping each piece without a wheel, as the Romans once did and as the city’s archaeological traces still reveal.
From there, we reworked the silhouettes with a more organic, intentionally imperfect character, reinforcing the body for durability and introducing bold blocks of colour against a pure white base, finished entirely in matte for a modern, tactile feel made to be used every day.
