Ceramics from Mérida
In Mérida, one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire in Hispania, centuries of cultural influence have shaped a distinctive ceramic tradition.
Today, local artisans continue to work with clay using techniques passed down through generations, creating pieces that honour the region’s heritage while feeling entirely at home in contemporary spaces.
Spanish craft, reimagined for today
Inspired by Mérida’s layered cultural history, we revisited traditional forms and decorative details through a more contemporary lens.
Proportions were refined, compositions simplified and colours carefully balanced to create pieces that retain their historical character while feeling lighter, more versatile and relevant for modern living.
The result is a collection that connects past and present through objects designed to be used every day.
