Set of 2 handwoven Ikat placemats from Mallorca, 50% linen and 50% cotton.

Color: Pink
Only 1 in stock

A set of two placemats with their own character, designed to bring warmth and color to your everyday table. The flame-like Ikat patterns turn every meal — from a quiet breakfast to a shared dinner — into a small visual ritual.

Made by traditional artisans in Mallorca using the Ikat technique — locally called 'roba de llengües,' or 'cloth of tongues,' for the flame-shaped figures that emerge as the threads meet. The technique traveled along the Silk Road from Asia, settling in Mallorca in the 15th century and surviving in only a few workshops today.

If you want to add some extra joy to your Mallorcan table linens, you can preorder your piece with Galician handmade bobbin lace. Allow 5 to 10 labor days for weaving, on top of regular shipping times.

Every single piece is handmade, so dimensions, color intensity, and the position of the pattern may vary. These variations are the signature of the Ikat technique and part of its natural character.
