Glass from Mallorca
The Romans spread glassblowing across the Mediterranean, leaving iconic hubs in their wake, from Murano to Mallorca. Like Murano, Mallorca built a name for itself and gained international recognition for its blown glass.
Yet the legacy was never properly protected or sustained, and over time many workshops closed, leaving only a handful of professional furnaces still working today, one of them being the workshop we work with, where the same Roman technique is still kept alive, piece by piece.
Reimagined for Today
From its Roman foundations, we expanded Mallorca’s glassmaking language through contemporary design, creating new silhouettes, new volumes and new colour stories. Working with recycled glass and mineral pigments, we developed pieces that catch the island’s light and translate it into objects made to live with you for a lifetime before being passed on to the next generation.
