A set of dinner napkins with their own quiet elegance — ideal for special dinners and daily use alike, from a Tuesday lunch with family to a long weekend table with friends. The 50/50 linen and cotton blend softens beautifully with every wash.

Handcrafted in Mallorca using the ancient Ikat technique — known locally as 'roba de llengües' ('cloth of tongues') after the flame-like patterns that emerge from the loom. The method arrived on the island in the 15th century via the Silk Road, having developed independently in Indonesia and Northern India, and has been preserved in Mallorca ever since.

If you want to add some extra joy to your Mallorcan table linens, you can preorder your piece with Galician handmade bobbin lace. Allow 5 to 10 labor days for weaving, on top of regular shipping times.

Every single piece is handmade, so dimensions, color intensity, and the position of the pattern may vary. These variations are the signature of the Ikat technique and part of its natural character.

Mallorca’s roba de llengües comes from ikat, an ancient textile technique that travelled from Asia along the Silk Road and reached the island in the 15th century, becoming one of its most recognisable crafts.

Still woven by one of the island’s few remaining specialist workshops, now in its fourth generation with Maribel at the helm, each thread is dyed before weaving to create the pattern. We reinterpret this textile language through softer colours, refined motifs and compositions made for the contemporary table, in a cotton-linen blend that becomes softer and more beautiful with every wash.
