Ceramics from puente
Puente del Arzobispo was once one of Spain’s great ceramic centres, especially during the 18th and 19th centuries, when its pieces travelled across Europe and the work inside each workshop became highly specialised.
In this same tradition, Tiry shapes each piece from the town’s fine local clay, while Conchi and Marcial paint them by hand. Together, we revisit the historic drawings from the 18th and 19th centuries that first defined Puente’s ceramic language, preserving its off-white ground and naïve brushstroke while giving the decoration a lighter, more contemporary rhythm.
