Just got back from one of my favorite trips of the year, my yearly visit to Galicia in search of craft, and once again I’m in awe of the level of craftsmanship across the region, so refined, so rooted.
But above all, I come back overwhelmed by the work my dear Elena and the team at Artesanía de Galicia were doing, empowering the artisans, giving value to these trades, building community, creating networks, making sure this heritage doesn’t quietly fade away 🫶🏽
We ended the trip at Corazón da Artesanía, in Agolada, Pontevedra, probably the most elegant and well-curated craft gathering in Spain. If you couldn’t make it this year, don’t forget to add it to your calendar for next summer.
Thanks for reading — and for supporting the people who keep tradition alive in every handmade piece. We’ll keep championing Spanish crafts, from Galicia and beyond.
